Ms Lucia Sharon Selowe

She is a young woman born in Ga-Modjadji, Limpopo Province and Resides in Ivory Park. A vibrant and energetic person   who is passionate about community development   and uplifting people at grassroots level, her passion for the performing arts has seen Modjadji striving to make a difference in people’s lives; she is a youth, Community, Cultural and language Activist. After   joining Youth Development Theatre Projects in 1999, Modjadji has expanded her theatre experience and unleashed her love for literature and grown extensively into a narrator of poetry, storytelling and involved in jazz academy in the Tembisa area. This sees her travelling to various parts of the country and neighbouring countries.

Her experience varies from coordinating and organising poetry sessions for the community of Ivory Park and Tembisa, translations for various organisations and individual projects. She is former secretary of the Greater Midrand Youth Council, politically she was branch deputy chairperson (eventually chairperson) and ZTT Fundraiser greater Midrand ANCYL in 2014.

Professionally she previously served as Branch Assistant Coordinator for Ikamva Youth Gauteng (Academic Support Organisation) and also the Heritage and Indigenous Knowledge Systems facilitator at Kara Heritage Institute. She is currently associate elicitor for a Values based leadership company in Johannesburg.

She has amongst others received training and trained on Community Leadership & Project from Plan Act (Government consultants on Community Development) SANCA Facilitator for Anti-Drug Abuse, SADAG associate facilitator and International Facilitative Leadership and Coaching Course from Lucca leadership South Africa….

She has served the City of Johannesburg Region A, as the youngest ward committee member from 2012 – 2015 leading the women, youth and children /Health portfolio

She holds two qualifications on Education and Training from the University of South Africa and founder of Lebone Rivoningo developments, an NPO that strives in mentorship, career guidance and Book Clubs.
